This is a beautiful cabinet card in great condition. It is a portrait of an determined and strong looking older woman. Her eyes are soulful, as if she has seen and experienced a great deal of life's ups and downs. She has a slightly dated style, as was usual with an older sitter as this antique cabinet card would date to around 1893 or so. The photographers were F. F. Dunshee and A. E. Hill of 22 Winter St., Boston, MA. They were in partnership at that address from 1893 to 1905.
The cabinet card was a style of photograph which was widely used for photographic portraiture after 1870. It consisted of a thin photograph mounted on a card typically measuring 108 by 165 mm (4 1⁄4 by 6 1⁄2 inches).
SIZE: 108 mm by 165 mm (4 1⁄4 by 6 1⁄2 inches).
