This incredibly delicate and late Victorian demitasse with matching saucer is dated from between 1886 to 1905 and definitely English porcelain or bone china.
It unmarked, except with an impressed 3 over 5. However the pattern is "Mikado" and they were made by William A. Adderley of Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. Other later pieces of the original service would have born the mark. The Mikado pattern is very intriguing and features a central urn with sprays of apple blossoms, and some interesting patterning around the edges.
CONDITION: Very good, but the bottom of the cup is discolored.
SIZE: Cup is 2 1/4 inches tall and 2 1/8 inches wide, and the saucers are 4 1/2 inches wide.
