Lucky Bargee is, I believe, a novel. It is deemed to have some social importance, as I believe it talks about injustices of the lower classes in late Victorian times, and social inequity. It was written by Harry Lander.
This is a first edition published in 1898 by D. Appleton & Co. of New York.
CONDITION: Good - the inside cover has a inscription "Gift to the Library from Mr. Earnest Higgins" - the endpaper at the beginning of the book seems to have been torn out. The next page, the title page, has a light embossed mark from the library Mr. Higgins gifted the book too, and that date 1909. The pages are deckled, and the cover is clothbound with a handsome image and gold gilt. Otherwise the binding is tight, though the pages are foxed quite a bit.
SIZE: 5 inches by 7 1/2 inches.
