Adorable little Dutch Boy and Dutch Girl salt and pepper shakers marked 'Japan' on bottom. I love how the boy figure has his hands stuffed in his pocket. This pair of novelty shakers are full of genuine character - a perfect addition to your salt and pepper shaker collection.
CONDITION: Pretty good - though the boy has an imperfection from the time of manufacture that includes a crack. It's an odd shaped extra piece of clay, oddly shaped just like a wine bottle, and the crack is only along the length of the imperfection.
SIZE: 3 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches wide.

SHAKERS: I lightly clean all my vintage salt and pepper shakers - however they are vintage, and some have been used over the course of their lifetime and may contain residue of salt or pepper. I try to eliminate as much of that as possible, but these items are often fragile in their decorations - most novelty shakers were not actually meant to be used so cannot be soaked or scrubbed. With original corks I leave them in, as to try and remove then could destroy them.
