Fantastic set of six demitasses and saucers by Federal Glass in their famous and sought after Diana pattern. Diana features a ribbed spiral or swirl pattern that is quite narrow. They really catch and refract the light. This particular set is decorated with silver (or platinum I read in one article) trim around the rims of the espresso or coffee cups, and around the rim of the saucers, and another ring just inside.
Diana by Federal Glass is a true depression glass pattern made between 1937 and 1941. Federal Glass of Columbus Ohio was founded in 1900 and made EAPG glass, carnival glass, and then were one of the first glass companies to mechanize and start producing affordable glass in quantity.
You get twelve pieces in total: six cups, six saucers.
CONDITION: Very good, no chips, cracks, or nicks - but there is some wear to the silver banding on some of the pieces. Please notice in photo.
SIZE: Cups are 2 inches tall and the saucers are 4 1/8 inches wide.
