A rare chance to get some vintage lovely Fostoria Baroque pattern salad or bread and butter plates made by Fostoria Glass in their stunning Topaz color, which is yellow but with a lovely almost iridescent sheen to them. Photos can't do the color justice. This is a very elegant pattern with a an ornate fleur de lis motif on four sides.
I have ten side plates (salad or bread and butter) plates, and seven luncheon plates in a separate listing for sale. I am selling them singly - if you want to buy more than four at a time, message me for a bulk discount!
The line was made between 1937 and 1943 in this color, during the same period as depression glass. The difference between elegance glass patterns is quality and craftsmanship. This glassware would have been much more expensive at the time it was made. Much of the work was hand done, and the glass is better quality with less mold lines, and less flaws.
CONDITION: Excellent with no chips, cracks or nicks - there is some scuff marks from use, as is typical of glass of this age, however over all I have rarely seen better condition in such plates.
SIZE: The luncheon plates measure 7 inches across.
