Drop dead gorgeous copy of Silver Screen Magazine featuring Ginger Rogers on the cover. This is the February 1941 issue. The cover is more of the earlier style of movie magazine covers with a lovely painting of Ginger that really stands out with her red hair and the blue ground they choose. Inside it's full of amazing photos of more stars than I can mention, vintage ads, and includes photos and stories about Hedy Lamarr, Rita Hayworth, Fred Astaire, Gene Tierney, and much much more.
Silver Screen debuted in 1930 and focused on the stars and the industry, as well as fashion and gossip. It went under in the seventies. It is very hard to find these Golden Age movie magazines of the silver screen era intact, as many were dismantled for their photos and covers. This one is intact.
CONDITION: Very good, just a bit of wear on the spine. Tight.
SIZE: It is a 8.5 inch by 11 inch format
NOTE: I price my vintage movie magazines based on age, condition, and how good the content is. I have no idea of their relative rarity, but I do know that many of these old magazines were cut up for clippings, or their covers removed for framing, so any intact movie magazine is a good find!
