The cover of this vintage movie magazine from March 1951 features Van Johnson, Jane Wyman, and the wonderful Howard Keel. This particular movie magazine was called Screen Stories, and it features mostly short stories based on the movies coming out, with plenty of movie stills. It is packed with great movie stars and fabulous old movies, some of them classics or well remembered, and others sadly forgotten. This issue features "Bedtime for Bonzo" with Ronald Reagan, as well as "The Flying Missile" with Glenn Ford.
Screen Stories, formerly Screen Romances, apparently, focused on short stories based on movies, as well as celebrity features and photos.
Sadly many of these magazines were mutilated for their covers and movie ads. This magazine is intact.
CONDITION: Good with some wear on the spine, some creasing, and a ring stain where someone put down a beverage on the cover at one point. I think it might have been a glass of milk!
SIZE: It is a 8.5 inch by 11 inch format
NOTE: I price my vintage movie magazines based on age, condition, and how good the content is. I have no idea of their relative rarity, but I do know that many of these old magazines were cut up for clippings, or their covers removed for framing, so any intact movie magazine is a good find!
