Pretty little bread and butter plate in the highly collectible green Cherry Blossom pattern by Jeanette glass. Blossoms adorn the rim while the center motif is a bunch of cherries.
Jeannette Glass made the popular Cherry Blossom pattern from 1930 to 1939. It is a very attractive pattern of true Depression Glass. The pattern is charming with both blossoms, but also leaves and cherry fruits. Green depression glass also has a very tiny quantity of uranium in it - making it glow bright neon green under UV lights. Uranium glass is sometimes erroneously referred to as vaseline glass (but that is an older yellow type that contains uranium particles).
Please note that while there were reproductions made of this pattern but this is the real vintage depression glass.
CONDITION: Very good to excellent. No nicks, chips, or cracks - but very very light scratching here and there in the center from use over their eighty year life span. There are imperfections in the glass as is typical with depression glass.
SIZE: 6 inches wide.
