This plate was made by Fostoria Glass between 1930 and 1933. The plate pattern is Mayfair in the Topaz color, and the etch pattern is New Garland. #284 is the etch number and #2419 is the Mayfair plate patent number. Topaz is a lovely yellow glass color, and Mayfair is an Art Deco square design that was very popular with Fostoria. Great vintage kitchen look.
This is true elegant glass from the depression era. Elegant glass differs from what is referred to as 'depression glass' in the quality of the glass and workmanship. This would have had a higher price point in its day.
CONDITION: Very good with no chips, cracks or nicks. It is scuffed and scratched from use.
SIZE: 8 1/4 inches across.

A beautiful plate in what I consider mint condition. A great addition to my Fostoria collection. Extremely well-packed and shipped quickly. Thank you!
