This is a gorgeous early Royal Albert pattern and teacup. The pattern is unnamed, but is a classic russet garland with a geometric rim decoration of gold, russet, black, and some green highlights. The shape of the cup is the earlier Countess shape (resembles the Avon shape but with the Countess handle), and the mark dates the piece between 1917 and 1925.
Royal Albert English bone china is a highly sought after collectible, and outstanding for its fine bone china, classic designs, and beautiful vintage teacups. Royal Albert was founded in 1896 in Longton, in the Potteries district of Staffordshire. The storied designers that worked for the pottery have made Royal Albert the teacup for the English country tea party.
CONDITION: Excellent with no chips, nicks, or cracks or crazing.
The saucer is 5 1/2 inches wide and the cup is 2 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide.
I have quite the collection of teacups in my shop: https://www.bagbagsydvintage.com/shop/19361320/vintage-tea-cups
