I'm currently away for Thanksgiving. All orders received through this week and next will be shipped on Dec 2. Sweet little EAPG (Early American Pressed Glass) rosebowl by Northwood Glass. Northwood made the Finecut Roses pattern for a number of years starting in 1908, and this example is in custard glass with a nutmeg stain. Custard glass is the color of egg custard, and contains a tiny amount of uranium (considered quite safe) so that it glows green under a black or ultra-violet light.
This particular pattern, fine cut roses, seems to have only been used for rosebowls and a ruffled candy dish.
CONDITION: Very very good with only the faintest flake off one foot. Damage to the feet of these dishes is very common, and while this does have a small flake, the feet look good. This is a very good example of the Northwood Glass rosebowl in Finecut Roses in custard glass.
SIZE: 4 1/4 inches tall and 4 inches wide.
