A charming old antique Christmas postcard with Santa Claus dressed in snowy white. Before 1931, while the usual color for Santa was red, it was not unusual for him to appear in other colors. The card proclaims a "A Merry Christmas" and Santa is holding a doll in a pink frock. He is wearing a green glove, and the card is embellished with gold, and embossed.
There are initials of the publishers along with a copyright date of 1911 on the front of the card, but I haven't yet identified the publisher. On the back of the post card is printed "Series 213 A". It has a divided back.
CONDITION: Very good with a small pencil inscription on the back. Very little wear but you can see where it was held in place in the post card album.
SIZE: 5 inches by 3 1/2 inches.
All my postcards are kept in postcard sleeves. I endeavor to describe their condition accurately. If you require more information please message me.
