Basil King was a Canadian clergyman and author who wrote a series of bestselling novels based on the socialite milieu of his wife. I believe there is also a spiritual theme to his works - and also this book is illustrated with four attractive plates.
This is a presumed FIRST EDITION by Harper & Brothers, New York, printed in 1917. It is considered a rare book.
CONDITION: Very good - red cloth cover, no DJ, with only light staining, bumping and wear. Pages tight with minimal tanning. There is the corner of the first page cut, presumably where there was a previous price written, plus it has the gold label of another bookseller.
SIZE: 5 inches by 7 1/2 inches.
