This is a very unusual and distinctive vase (or pitcher as it has a handle and spout) from George Jones & Sons Pottery of Stoke-on-Trent, and is marked "GJ & Sons, Stoke Crescent, England" - the England added to the mark dates this after 1891 but before 1920. However I would place the piece in the earlier range because of its elaborate style - this would be a late Victorian or Edwardian piece. It is decorated with delicate drawn pansy decals with gold, and the glaze is hued with green. The handle of the vase is like a vine twisting around the neck.
This is quite the find for this excellent pottery, and a stunning addition to an older themed home.
CONDITION: There are no chips but there is a small hairline fracture at the top of the neck, you can see it in the photos.
SIZE: 10 1/2 inches tall.
