An action adventure novel that takes place as a young man tries to find his place in the world. Outdoors, woods, rugged. The author was Henry Oyen, full name Olaf Henry Oyen, born in Norway in 1882, but raised in Waupaca, Wisconsin from the age of 2. He was a reporter for the Chicago Tribune for a while, but determined to succeed as an author. He also wrote some screen plays. However he died young at 39. "The Man Trail" was made into a movie in 1915.
This is an early edition by A. L. Burt, possibly first, but there are two copyright notices to other companies on the front.
CONDITION: Good with green cloth cover, which as some bumping to the edges. There is cracking in the binding near the front of the book, but later is tight. Light to moderate tanning. Owner's name written on title page. No dust jacket. Someone drew a circle on the spine.
SIZE: 5 inches by 7 1/2 inches.
