This pretty little teacup and saucer was made by Roslyn Fine Bone China sometime in the fifties. It has a brushed gold rim, is footed, and sports a sumptuous pattern of pink and white roses. The pattern is called "Melody Rose" and is part of the banner on the back stamp. What a perfect little English rose of a teacup for a vintage teatime.
Roslyn China operated out of the Place Park Works in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. Previously Roslyn was Reid & Co. which operated from 1913. Roslyn closed its doors in 1963.
CONDITION: Both tea cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no chips, nicks, or cracks. The very bottom of the teacup interior has some scratching marks, light, so it looks like it once belonged to a vigorous stirrer.
SIZE: The saucer is 5 1/2 inches wide and the cup is 3 inches tall.
