Bindloss was an English author who specialized in tales of the Pacific Northwest, particularly up into Canada. His style of western adventure was very popular with both English readers and American readers. This book includes a lovely color frontispiece.
"Set in the cut-throat environment of Canada's burgeoning lumber industry, this intriguing mystery from Harold Bindloss begins with the discovery that the son of a lumber tycoon has been brutally killed. What's more, a cache of valuable bonds has been stolen from the office safe -- a safe to which only the murdered man knew the combination."
This edition is by Grosset & Dunlap, who were most often reprinters, often very quickly after the book was first published elsewhere. In this case the copyright is Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1917.
CONDITION: Good but a little frayed edges of the boards, soiled, and no DJ. The binding seems tight, and there is very light tanning. There bookseller label on the inside cover.
