Attractive teacup and saucer that has a floral motif full of flowers that are garden favorites like roses, pansies, violets, cornflowers, primula, forget-me-nots, and sweet peas. Perfect for the garden tea party!
This cup and saucer was made in the late forties or fifties by Sampson Smith Ltd. of Stoke-on-Trent in the Potteries, the district in England famous for making earthenware and English bone china. The mark that Sampson Smith when this cup was made was their Old Royal mark, and with the words "Bone China" dates the cup to after 1945. The pottery closed in 1963.
CONDITION: Both tea cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no chips, nicks, or cracks.
SIZE: The saucer is 5 1/4 inches wide and the cup is 2 1/2 inches tall.
