Stunning copy of Silver Screen Magazine featuring the Dorothy Lamour on the cover. This is the December 1941 issue. They are still using painted covers and it's a bright composition with yellow framing the portrait of Lamour. Inside there are tons of photos of Golden Age Hollyoood stars like Clark Gable, Humphrey Bogart, Rita Hayworth, and Betty Gable.
Silver Screen debuted in 1930 and focused on the stars and the industry, as well as fashion and gossip. It went under in the seventies. It is very hard to find these Golden Age movie magazines of the silver screen era intact, as many were dismantled for their photos and covers. This one is intact.
CONDITION: Very good, but with an address label, and a tiny part of the bottom corner missing.
SIZE: It is a 8.5 inch by 11 inch format
NOTE: I price my vintage movie magazines based on age, condition, and how good the content is. I have no idea of their relative rarity, but I do know that many of these old magazines were cut up for clippings, or their covers removed for framing, so any intact movie magazine is a good find!
