A large majolica begonia leaf edged with basket weave plate or platter. The bottom is brown and teal sponged, and has the impressed mark: "Etruscan Majolica" with the initials "GSH", which stands for Griffen, Smith & Hill, in the center. The colors are green, brown, and a pale creamy yellow.
Griffen, Smith & Hill made their majolica ceramics between 1867 and 1890. The monogram "GSH" appeared after 1880.
CONDITION: Excellent, with no chips, cracks, or nicks.
