Delicate hand painted flowers grace this lovely Paragon teacup and saucer, dating from the 1930s. A watercolor style wash and gold trim further defines the elegance of this piece.
The Paragon Warrant story: Queen Mary and other members of the royal family favored Paragon's lovely patterns for themselves and as gifts, and in April 1933 granted them a Royal Warrant. This is a royal favor for businesses that supply the Royal Family, and is a great boon for said businesses.
Paragon operated from 1919 to 1960, though their history stretches back to 1897 when they were the Star China Co. The sixties saw the company absorbed into other china companies.
CONDITION: Excellent with no nicks, chips, cracks.
SIZE: The cup is 2 3/4 inches tall and the saucer is 5 1/2 inches wide.
